Northgate High School provides an emphasis on academic success within a caring and supportive environment, excellent teaching and a full range of educational opportunities. A range of new buildings enables Northgate pupils to benefit from specialist accommodation. The latest computer technology is fully integrated across the curriculum, giving our pupils the edge in a competitive world. Education is in constant change, but here at Northgate we never lose sight of our focus - the individual child.

During the time spent at high school your son or daughter will develop into a young adult; you can be confident that the staff at Northgate, working in close co-operation with parents, will provide the academic basis for success. Visitors to Northgate invariably comment on our pupils’ good manners and behaviour. Mutual respect underpins the teaching and learning within the school and is reinforced by assemblies and tutor time discussions. We value the contribution made by each child to the school. Our pupils excel in all areas and we reward them accordingly. There is great enthusiasm to earn Merit Certificates and Commendations. Throughout the school, pupils’ efforts and achievements are acknowledged at public presentations, this includes the award of sporting colours. The prefect and school council systems foster a sense of responsibility and leadership.
